I know, but exceptional circumstances and all that. Also Ebbsfleet will have been budgeting for the season in National League South.

Perhaps but surely with the side they've assembled they are on a hiding to nothing in the NL and only delaying the inevitable for a season.

Yes but you’d rather fight to keep your place in the NL and you can obviously add more experience during the season than fight to get 2 promotion places into that league.

I might have missed mention of it on here, but I wasn’t aware there was a Football Foundation Matchday Support Fund, where National League North & South clubs can apply for funds up to £15,000:-

I've just noticed that Southend United were on this court list also and were given an additional 6 weeks to pay almost  £500000 or be wound up.

Very odd to see Billericay play Maidstone in a pre-season game yesterday drawing 2-2.

Can't remember if in recent times we've ever played a league opponent in pre-season.

We had arranged a game originally with Havant but they had to cancel early on.

No reason not to in all honesty, as pre season is always full of changes, trying things etc, we tried to also play Dorking in the lead up to play offs, as only way of playing them was in the final, however didn’t happen.

Havant had to cancel their game yesterday with Dagenham due to only having 11 fit players and 2 of those were keepers.

Merthyr Town have issued a statement that they pulling out of the league for the forthcoming season.

Due to current restrictions in place they have decided that it's in the best interests of the club and it's future viability.
