Yesterday's Non League paper got these two games for tomorrow evening wrong and they will not be taking place due to the Middlesex FA Premier Cup Second Round ties being re-scheduled:

Division 1 - St Panteleimon v FC Broxbourne Borough

SSML Challenge Trophy Quarter Final - Hillingdon Borough v Milton Keynes Robins

Don't forget folks, it is Stotfold's final game at Roker Park tomorrow evening after some 55 years of playing there:

This could be an interesting one this evening couldn't it, I predict a cat and mouse affair and possibly a draw:

There seems to be some misleading information on another website regarding this evening's Division One fixture between London Tigers and Amerham Town and where it is being played, it will be at Spratley's Meadow and not the so called 'Hidden Gem' in Avenue Park, Greenford, where, you will recall, Tokyngton Manor used to ply their trade amongst other Club's:

It should stay hidden. Probably worst pitch and facilities I’ve seen. Made The Somme look like Anfield.

Savagebee - Not SSML related but I see that Brentford 'B' are at Wingate & Finchley this evening in the Middlesex FA Senior Cup, I wonder what sort of crowd they will get at the Maurice Rebak Stadium. Also what's your view on the so called 'Hidden Gem' in Greenford out of interest, Winslow Boy can't be talking about the same ground.

If it’s the one I saw Winslow play Tokyngton back whenever it was, it was an absolute disgrace, dangerous ruts all over. Shocking place. Viking sports ground or something???

Winslow Boy - Well that's really strange because this is an extract from a Tokyngton Manor match programme from the 2009/2010 campaign and it certainly doesn't sound like what you are describing:

As always Tokyngton Manor would like to welcome spectators and any so called ‘groundhoppers’ to the Viking Sports Ground this evening and hope you will enjoy your time in our company at a ground which is widely known as ‘the hidden gem’, presumably so called due to it’s ‘oasis like’ or ‘Garden of Eden’ similarity tucked away off the busy Western Avenue. Please do make yourselves known to us so we can thank you personally for your greatly appreciated visit.

That's shocking isn't it, I gather the Bees scored just after the interval and professionally held on

'Attendance only 47.'

Well if you choose to schedule a game against a 'B' side at the same time as their first team are playing, then what can you expect ?

There was no need whatsoever for this game to have been played this evening.  The general lack of initiative and imagination among non-league Club Secretaries in and around London continues to be nothing short of staggering.

(As an aside, an attendance that is equally shocking this evening must surely be the 223 who turned up to watch the cup-tie between Barnet and Farsley Celtic.  This, you will recall, was called off a couple of weeks ago only seconds before the kick-off time, after both sets of players had been warming up on the pitch for about an hour).

In passing, you may also have noted an impressive win by St Panteleimon over a hastily-cobbled-together Cockfosters Reserves side.  A thoroughly unnecessary game and a complete waste of an evening for all concerned.  If, however, it has brought some small measure of comfort to some of the people at St Panteleimon, then so be it.

Anyway, the good news is that the lazy and ignorant blazers of the Middlesex FA can now all sleep soundly knowing that their rules have been adhered to.

Because that's all that really matters, isn't it ?

Division Two
Unite MK v MK Gallacticos

All eyes will be on Manor Fields this evening won't they for the only game of the night involving SSML Club's. The fixture is somewhat of a dead rubber with the Club's lying tenth and eighth respectively in the Division Two table, MK Gallacticos will be looking to save face following their embarrassing 11-1 home defeat to Old Bradwell United last Saturday and Unite MK may well feel the backlash as they did in the corresponding fixture at the North Furzton Sports Ground in early October when going down 7-0.

Tonight's result, I gather MK Gallacticos were leading 2-1 near to the end but Unite MK managed to equalise:

Wednesday 29 January
Division Two
Unite MK 2 MK Gallacticos 2
