Pre Season finished - Role on the new Season

Recommended Posts

Well, it's all been happening since our new manager started.  The squad has been revamped and re-energised the ground has had some work done to make improvements which I must say have proven to be excellent and I am sure supporters will love the has-been Extension and the new fencing around the track.

More Importantly, in the pre-season matches we have seen some good football at times and the team is fitter and stronger than last season some excellent performances by our new signings and returning players too.  The win's v Dagenham and Millwall were a solid team performance on both occasions and with a little more luck no doubt the scorelines would have been higher for the urchins but I have been impressed with the re-organised back line and Joe Wright and how things have come together.

All that remains now is to carry this forward into the new season and I think this team has yet to hit its ultimate performance so I am optimistic we will see another competitive season and there is no reason why possibly this team could not go on to win the league outright this time just as long as we improve again on our consistency and keep the defensive stability we have seen pre-seaon.

Looking forward to seeing the crowds come again and cheer on the lads

Up the Urchins
