no idea.. i keep varying between a good shout at still being in with a chance of a playoff slot in march to hoping three other teams crap out enabling us to stay up with 23 points..

I would settle for the lower half of "Conference National" as it is apparently going to be called. Bear in mind that half the Conference teams are full-time, we will find it tough at times, especially if we get a few injuries and/or suspensions. Can't rely on a repeat of this year where it is likely that only one team in the bottom 3 will go down - starting to look as if Margate will be demoted (handing Leigh a reprieve) for having the temerity to ask to groundshare with Dover for another year (request denied by the Conference bigwigs)...

I know we should be cautious but I’m quietly confident we will do well and reach the upper limits of the conf in our first season. We need a new striker for cover for when one of the first choice two aren’t available. If Boyly isn’t there then you wonder where the goals will come from.

Can see Carlisle being favourites as they fought hard and were unlucky to go down after such a poor 2003. Hereford look likely to be 2nd favs. Not sure about York. The way they faded makes you wonder if they are up to going straight back up. Other than that, I would say it was fairly even and can see a lot of point sharing.

In all, I don’t think we have to set our sights on and be happy finishing 19th. I am sure we will fit in well with playing regularly at this level and the style of play may in fact suit us more. Someone already mentioned that we shouldn’t be playing regularly against a 10 man wall which will help. Really looking forward to it and giving it a right go.

With everybody wishing us to avoid the Conference bottom three next year, I was wondering if that should be the bottom four?

Looking at the league line ups for next year(as printed in the Echo last night)you will note that there are two leagues directly under the Conference, the North and South Conference.

I would think that there would be two sides promoted from each, which would mean relegation for the bottom four.

Does anybody know if I am right or will there be only three relegation places and if so who will be promoted from the two lower divisions?

There will still be only three places with the Runners-Up from the North and South having a Play-off for the third promotion place after the two Champions.

Not just the runners up, there are play-offs from 2-5 in each feeder, with the winner of each play-off meeting each other for the final promotion spot.

Yeah hopefully but I didn't want to seem too optimistic as last season I could have put Bryco Cup winners and im glad i didn't otherwise id have looked like a right idiot. Any way to Sunday hopefully we can do it. Just curious what do we all think the score will be?
