Just to put the record straight im not knocking the youngsters, they put in the hard work and im enormously proud of them, but they still have plenty to learn. Hopefully theyll continue to do that at Billericay.

And in light of the difficult circumstances last night, the result was excellent, and a sign of how much the team has come in the last few months. Bring on the Chelmsford

To quantify my comments, I would agree with cardiff. It's just when we have three players out, we just look a bit thin on the ground... Okay appearences can be deceptive and the youngsters are applying themselves well but nowt counts for experience...

Having surfaced from the hallucinogenic effects of Lemsip Max, I would like to post an explaination of my comments on this thread.

I appreciate and am more than pleased with the performance of our youngsters, my comments were only relating to the fact that we looked a little thin on the ground, as for the number of players available.

Also, the goals scored on Tuesday were half chances at best, which proves another point as far as the development of the team and it's playing staff. We are taking every chance to score, no matter how small the crumbs of opportunity that are presented. Compaire that with, last season or the season before and I think you'll all agree with me, a rousing cheer of thanks to Justin, Matt and the rest of the playing staff is required.

Have yerselves a very Merry Xmas lads and I'll see ya on Monday. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif" alt="" />

Nice to read an independent match report for once. Presumably because there were hardly any games on that night that thye chose to cover us. Good as Simons match reports are, i do get sick of reading the same thing on the website, in the prog, in the gazette!
Pretty decent effort id say

If you want a 3rd opinion, The Romford Recorder had a reporter there as well - the newly shaven Peter Butcher.
