A REVIEW OF WHATS TASTY AND WHAT WASN'T

All part of the seasonal "Oh My God Not More Food", what gastronomical delights have we had this season so far?

Well, I think we can safely say that most of the fare offered up as the staple diet of most of the Non League football supporter has been okay. Not many grounds have tried to poison us with a truely sub standard fare.

The best that comes to mind has been at Eastliegh, North Preston, Hendon and Bognor (again, the bread pudding was consumed by myself and a delightful scoff it was to).

The worst has got to be Yeading's attempt to get their ground closed on health reasons. Our first game (in the league) I sampled the sausage in a bun and was presented with a limp, frankfurter type substance squeezed between to bits of bread. Tasteless and uninspiring. Worse was to come...We vistied there again in the Trophy and well, bricks of charcoal is the best description I can think of. The amazing thing is that, after watching others in front of us getting served up with these un digestable lumps of poison, most of us continued to order them for our own consumption!!! I believe JR took his back and asked for a replacement and got charcoal on the outside and blood on the inside...He is still recovering his appetite as I write this!!!

Disapointment of the season has got to be Dorking, which ran out of everything 20 minutes before the game!!!

One wonders how many cases of food-poisoning then occured.

When there, I personally stick to pints and crisps in the bar !
