Best Ever Fleet XI

Hi fellow fleet fans ive only been a fleet fan for about 5yrs so what i want to find out is what the longer serving fans believe is the best fleet XI, past and present. Goalkeeper, defence, midfield and attack..... I will watch with interest.

LM Brian Woolfe - best dribbler ever

I think a lot of people would think that Bullard wasnt outstanding for us but had great potential . Something West Ham saw and hes proving now . If your only picking performances for the Fleet I dont think he d get in.

Warilow was a good player & dangerous at set pieces but Fridge would get my vote. Aboh was bloody quick but not the best man to play with apparently & a bit small.

Whilst he perhaps wasnt the most spectacular goalkeeper we ever had, John Cowen must come pretty high up the list for his consistency.

Anyone who watched the 6:0 drubbing of Morecombe....that was pretty much it.

Possibly Portway for his goals and Mark Bentley but the truth is it is easy to look back on Woolfie, Kenny Burrett and Stevie Brown with rose coloured glasses but actually todays players are better.

Unfortunately so are everyone elses.
