There is a golf variation I heard.....

 

Two guys are playing a round one weekday, and have got round to driving off at the ninth tee at the back of the course, close to the road. George was just setting himself up for the drive, when a hearse and procession hove into site on the road. He immediately laid his club down on the grass, took off his gloves and stood, head bowed, baseball cap in hand until the hearse had passed out of site.

 

"Goerge, well done" said John, "That is the most respectful act I have seen on a golf course ever!"

 

"Well" said George, "it was the least I could do - I was married to her for 25 years."
