Hi.Good win for you today. Well done.

As for the crowd today, yes it was our first game back home for 3 years and it is a new, though temporary stadium so that will have had an effect on oldies(stay-at-home fans) returning, people wanting a nose, the whole celebration of this particular day, but I can assure you there was no kiddies day. No freebies.Am sure those type of things are in the pipeline for future matches though. We had women and children there, of course we did, but they were "new" compared to other seasons and now we have re-introduced the youth policy we hope they will continue to attend as with those other people that attended. We publicised this game for a while and that too was new. Not so well advertised in the past unfortunately.

But let me tell you this that advertising plus a good result to start with will have done us the world of good and whilst we wouldnt expect that kind of a crowd EVERY week we are hoping that a large majority will return on a regular basis. We can only do our best to encourage this and this year EVERY game will get a mention to the community in several outlets.

The fans have always been there its just a matter of enticing them to come along and today was a special opportunity to do that. The ground got rave reviews and considering it was all put up within 4 months and though its only a temporary one it has been recieved very favourably indeed.

I certainly dont expect so many next game but if we keep getting results and those that left the game today were satisfied with what they saw hopes are high that a majority of those WILL return again. Its been hard work all round by many many people but today it was well worth the effort. Our celebrations will continue into the season. It dosent stop here,it dosent stop today.

Its up to the club and more importantly us,the fans to put in the work in order that the income can be found to acquire better players and to begin that rise up again. Our feet are still firmly on the ground but our hopes are sky high.

And lets not forget the input that YOU out there amongst the non-league fans all over the country, with you support, over the past few years has done because without your support this day may never have occurred so many thanks to all of you too.

Hi Gary,

Bearing in mind his recent jibes at our supporters and dubbing us all with the "thugs" label, after recieving a so-called threatening text message some 6 or 7 months ago and also being accosted in a cinema by a so-called margate fan, none of which was followed through with the authorities and nothing substantiated,we felt it best to avoid sparking the flame any further than was nessasary. In fact I shook his hand(unbelivable I know) but it was a jesture to him that we are not "thugs" as he put it and that yesterday was a "special" day and not a personal/political one . He remarked, though without smile(proberly a bit nervous)that we would win so he does get some things right.Dont think a lot of people saw him and I was in the right or wrong place at the time he came in. It wasnt about him or his remarks yesterday though I still have a bad taste in my mouth concerning that unfounded statement. It was about the "club" and nothing managed to spoil the day thank goodness.A good result with a good crowd and hopefully a reminder to him that this club and its fans are an asset to the town and not vice-versa.
