Amazing to see so much harmony on our forum about both george best and warren ryan.

 

The only thing I would add to the Warren debate is what on earth was going on at half time. Not only was Warren running up and down the pitch training ( something I would have thought is not allowed once a player has been redcarded) but he also took the opportunity to exchange further "pleasantries" with the Worthing number 5 as they came back on for the start of the second half.

 

I suspect if the referee had seen any of this( unlikely in view of his general performance!!) the Club could be faced with a serious misconduct rule. Does anybody know the rules for a player sent off?

Warren's suspension is now on the FA website - 4 games (I assume a bit of "previous") starting dec 10th. Pat has a 1 match ban for 5 cautions starting 6th December.

Does the 'Champions League' count as a first team fixture?

I believe not. I seem to remember being told once that only one county cup counts for suspensions - otherwise the London clubs who enter 3 or 4 would have an advantage.
