That is by far the best match I have seen in a very long time...

Absolute quality today.

The second half was one of the best second halfs I've seen AFC Hornchurch play. And a good 3 points was won, too.

The tackles were flying and the Barkingside shots were too....over the bar... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

Agree about the tackle at the end, but in the name of god how did their number 7 not get sent off for assaulting the lino? I'd love to see how the ref reported that one.

Don't know how they are second in the league, Pitsea gave us more trouble. Well I do know actually, they bully their way.

Good game today lads and a great tackle at the end...how was that never a red <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

How did their nmumber 7 get away with assaulting the lino? That is an automatic red. It was not a game for the faint hearted, but nonetheless, 3 points in the bag. Bring on stansted.

A couple of points

Unc - I must disagree re the officials having a good game. The lino on the Eastside (why don't they change over at halftime?)was a joke.I know the players/fans don't make their job easy but looking in the other direction every time an incident occurs is a cop out.

Cider - could you talk us through these better chances.I recall a 1 on 1 in the first half but don't recall the hx keeper making a save

Adam Hines shooting over from 10 yards out with the keeper to beat and the header from 4 yards out headed of the line. The cross to the far post which barkingside 10 volleyed over.Shall i continue? You are correct about the officials. The fat lino kept looking round at the burgers and the Ben Turpin Look-a-like kept running into the advertising boards.

b/side did have a few chances but didn't have their shooting boots on..there was a real let off in the first half when their player blazed wide from 12 yards with only colier to beat..have to say that mike only made one save throughout the game tho'...

still think we deserved the win and still think that all in all it was great value for money....

with the officials teepee it was very difficult for them....on another day and with lesser experienced officials there could have been a mountain of red cards such was the commitment out there and the prize at stake...(4 points or 10)...and as cider rightly said....'its hard to have a grump up over the ref when we've nicked the 3 points'...if their last minute 'way offside' disallowed goal had been allowed I might well be saying something different.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

as archie macCauley once said to me

'go nick the three points son and don't let 'em see you larfing at the end'

just my view but sitting here 2 days on I think that 'twas a good game for all sorts of reasons...premier league players on a 100 grand a week don't show that sort of commitment...

and when its all over any everyone has calmed down a few drinks are had and that is the way it should be... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

stansted manana and thats an even bigger game as we could go 11 points clear....
