It wasn't a great game, but credit to Fords/Romford, the pitch was in good nick and it would have allowed for a good passing game if the tension hadn't been quite what it was.

 

Romford didn't do themselves justice (I cant believe they are always that poor) and we didn't play as well as we can, but we deserved the win and to keep yet another clean sheet is testament to a solid defence.

 

Fantastic to see Sontag back, he looked a threat as soon as he came on. Other good showings, The Cowleys, Bostock, Everett and Mickey Collier who looked confident in dealing with the few moments Romford had.

 

A very enjoyable afternoon (albeit freezing) made so by the fantastic Urchin support and a bit of banter with Romford.

 

I truly wish Romford all the best with the new ground application and hope the gate receipts come in handy.

 

Happy Christmas and see you on the 27th.
