Shame this game is being played on a Tuesday night plus the fact that footy is on the television. Also Ramsgate playing at home too.A Saturday game I'm sure would have given us a good crowd though obviously there cant be a Saturday available.Maybe a Sunday game could have been arranged or perhaps that isnt allowed for certain reasons, but now in midweek that crowd will be halved I'm sure.Maybe the only time to get this re-arranged I'm sure but its just a pity that the one game where a vast crowd could have been in attendance will not now be attainable or forthcoming.Increased revenue for this one particular game is going to be sorely missed.

Another "faux pas" by the club? We have lost enough revenue already this season due to our early cup exits. You would have thought we would have maximised the income potential for this match!

[color:"blue"] Not neccessarily, these re-arranged fixtures have to be mutually agreed by both clubs. We might have requested a better date to maximise revenue but, if it doesn't suit AFC, we can't insist they comply.

Whatever the reason its still a crying shame!

Still, maybe segregation wont come into it now. I know that if I was down that far end on cold winters night without cover I would get a bit narked so perhaps having their supporters mingle it will be more of a friendly atmosphere. Maybe this was a problem at Ramsgate. I know some AFC supporters were not happy with being closed in. I know there MAY be that minority who wish to cause trouble however that may not be the case at all & and so we should extend our warmth and hospitality to them in every way we can.Just so long as monitoring is taking place I cant really see a problem, especially now with the numbers attending expected to fall way short of those anticipated from a Saturday kick-off.No doubt the club WILL enforce a segregation but will that NOW be acceptable & wise?

Evening gents (and ladies), I also hope there will not be segregation so we can use your bar and put more money in the coffers. We as a club have been well received at most clubs and Worthing Saturday was a good example. No probs at Folkestone and mingled with home fans. It seems every game we attend brings out the local lads chancing their arm, but 99% of ours will not rise to the bait and move away. Hopefully we will bring in excess of 500 which is poor by our usual support but midweek ( work permitting) when big European games are on is a major factor. I am looking forward to another local game and wish you all the best for the rest of the season and the rebuilding of Hartsdown.

cheers. it's strange it looks quite nice as it is but the old coffin end is now afreezer?? think even though a tuesday the crowd will be well in excess of 1000. lets hope we have pulled clear of relegation but quite frankly i think should not be too dif. plenty of roadside parking. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Do you know what Geoff I agree Hartsdown does look quite nice as it is IF NEED BE can we just save up and do sponsored activities and build a covered terrace down the Coffin End....MISA???

That is, if need be if things arent looking so comfortable ground-wise.

Agree with Alex that any trouble would purely be the Ramsgate chavscum element but segregation would put a big stop on that. Unfortunate but sadly the case with some of their lot over there. It would be superb for atmosphere if we could not segregate though as both sets of fans will surely be singing their hearts out.

That is not true they are Thanet chavscum. If you played the Wombles when we did they would have started trouble and we would be tarnishing them as "Margate chavscum" just because an "incident" occurred at Southwood does not mean that they are connected to the club or town.
