We've never won at Cressing Road.

Braintree have virtually won the league.

 

Perhaps they'll relax enough to allow us to maybe grab a point. But I'll be happy with keeping the score under 5, it will be a good benchmark to show if we've improved from last season.

I dont think it would matter if this was a mid table game, they will want to win as much as we do.

All you can ask of the players is to give it all they have on the day and not walk off the pitch knowing they could have done more. If we dont win but have given everything then I will have no complaints. Last season at their place the whole team never showed up and 5 nil was not half as bad as it could have been.

Forget its Braintree for a second though, a point against the team cruising at the top would be a good result for any team.

A good team performance not ruined by the ref is all we can ask for. As for the result we will wait and see, surely thats why we love football as there always that chance that form counts for nothing especially in a local(ish) derby.

Can someone dig out last years starting 11 who played at cressing road?

 

Whats the state of braintrees pitch? ive never been, Hopefully both sides will be able to play and we'll see a good game.

 

I certainly think were good enough for a point.

i think its fair to say that braintrees pitch is one of the best at this level, if not the best.

Paul, our Andy g did win the Isthmian award for Groundsman of the year last season and is one of the three nominated for this season.

 

Modesty to one side, I 've yet to see a better surface so far this season.

So Henty, Sappleton, Macca, Kerrigan Will be trying to prove theyve come along way as defenders.

 

and im sure hunter and Dormer will not want to be on the end of another defeat.

 

In recent weeks dormer has become alot more vocal as a captain on the pitch when the player are on the back foot/playing poorly ((eg saturday)) he may well be able to motivate the players for this one.

Tom - Dan's map is about as good as it gets.

 

Both Multimap & Streetmap sites don't have Braintree Freeport station on them! You can walk from Braintree Town station - takes about 15 minutes.
