GAME OFF

We just got back home 6 hour round trip for nothing because the trains were all delayed. I phoned the ground twice and was told first it was doubful then second it was on, so we decided to go. The steward on the gate told us that the local ref passed the pitch fit at 5.15 but the actual game ref disagreed at 7.00 and in the stewards own words that these refs have no idea what they are doing.

Nothing new there then :-)

Nice pleasant journey on the metropolitan line. Nice pleasant walk in the RAIN to the ground. Nice pleasant steward advises game off. Nice pleasant walk up the long drive to clubhouse, where some very nice pleasant town folk gave me a lift home (thanks chaps) Oh but then the m25 was gridlocked!! Oh well. Personally, i think there was obviously a doubt about the game going ahead right upto 4.45pm according to wealdstone sources. There were a good number travelling on the road too, you gotta laugh aint ya! Cos if you dont you never will.

It's been hot (29c) the last few days until the game started. I think the monsoon season started today, hopefully the ground won't be washed away.

Also been very bizzare at times, taxi driver took us all to see him mum on the way to the ground yesterday! (who had a cow standing outside her house!!) Also nearly got stuck in a remote village up the himilayas the other day.

All the locals keep asking me when you're gettng out here UM, and you'll love this, they play 80's music during the breaks for bad light and rain, give you a chance to wave your arm's about!

Look out for my Billericay shirt tomorrow. (home shirt from a few years ago, Futurama sponsers, or whatever they were called) They have a Nike shop here, sell the Man U shirt but no Billericay shirt, can you do something about this?

Nearly forgot (well I did, but edited later) Chandigarh town centre looks just like Basildon town centre, except nicer!
