Firstly; In the past I have singled out a player for criticism, so it's right that I single him out for praise. Warren Ryan's performance and discipline was spot on yesterday, after being out for such a long spell it would have been easy for him to get excited or lack some sharpness, but no, he was solid throughout, as was the whole team, who collectively get my vote as MOTM.

 

 

Although Fisher will have/had bigger games this season, this was still a big game for them.

 

And on a personal level it meant a lot to a lot of people. The bookies made us 5/1 (thank you very much) underdogs, but in truth we had a numerical advantage. You see, although the two bench’s both wanted this game equally as much, the greater pressure was with Fisher. The game meant more to our supporters than Fisher's, and it meant more to our players than Fisher's.

So 5/1 was very big odds, IMO, we were always an even chance in this particular game.

Again our supporters were excellent and I was very impressed with our nonchalant matter of fact behaviour in the bar afterwards. I bet the coach journey home was a riot though....Well done, you deserve it.

 

 

Lets hope we bring this kind of performance to New Lodge on Tuesday.

tc, well done to you all: a great result that will give you hope for the remainder of the season and left me with a hangover this morning!

 

All the teams above you will continue to drop points, of that I'm certain. Just keep winning & let's hope we see each other in the Connie sarf next season.
