It`s got to e centre back..... He just reminds me of how i was when i played at centre half.... Lacks a bit of pace... Verygood in the air..... Reads the game well..... But our strongest point.... TAKE NO [****!!****] PRISONERS. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

UPDATED - thanks to Alan from Thurrock for the Purfleet stats.

 

Jamie Southon – Defender – Jamie was with Norwich City as an associate schoolboy, and in 1989/90 transferred to Southend United, making one first team appearance in 1992/93. He has played for Purfleet, Dagenham & Redbridge, making eight appearances in 1995/96, and then joined Purfleet, scoring twice in ten appearances, before going to Grays, and then to Hong Kong club Sing Tao. When he returned from Hong Kong he rejoined Grays Athletic and then signed for Chelmsford City in November 1996. He went to Enfield in July 1997 on a monthly contract, and rejoined Purfleet in September 1997. In six seasons in his second spell, he socred 22 times in 283 appearances. Joined the Urchins in February 2003, and went on loan to St Albams City at the start of 2004.05. He returned from loan in November 2004, and played 23 + two subs and scored twice, and was named player of the year. Joined Cambridge City in June 05. Scored one goal in 16 starts plus 7 sub appearances, and moved to Chelmsford City in mid season.
