Jamie Southon – Defender – Jamie was with Norwich City as an associate schoolboy, and in 1989/90 transferred to Southend United, making one first team appearance in 1992/93. He has played for Purfleet, Dagenham & Redbridge, making eight appearances in 1995/96, and then joined Grays, and then played for Hong Kong club Sing Tao. When he returned from Hong Kong he rejoined Grays Athletic and then signed for Chelmsford City in November 1996. He went to Enfield in July 1997 on a monthly contract, and rejoined Purfleet in September 1997, making 30 appearances (2 as substitute) in 1997/98 scoring 4 times. Joined the Urchins in February 2003, and has went on loan to St Albams City at the start of 2004.05. He returned from loan in November 2004, and played 23 + two subs and scored twice, and was named player of the year. Joined Cambridge City in June 05. Scored one goal in 16 starts plus 7 sub appearances, and moved to Chelmsford City in mid season.

If anyone has Jamie's appearances for Chelmsford 05/06, and for his 02/03 and 03/04 seasons with Horncurch, or for Grays or Purfleet, can they contact me please?

Gotta say, I'm delighted, the one man I never interviewed, and he knows it!

First goal for us at Yeading, my, how they were sick, last minute as well, Stewards Enquiry the lot, Taff followed it through, but it stood.

We could tella few stories but of course the best story will be that our man JS will be wearing the famous stripes next year.

Once again, Delighted!
