Thought they were going to play at the Harlow Greyhound Stadium!

If your story is OK at least it saves a journey up the M11.

Just to save unnecessary postings, all our clubs have now been informed that, following long negotiations with the F A after our shock loss of three clubs due to Step 4 promotions, the Constitution of the League, in terms of numbers, remains the same as last season and will be 16 clubs for next season.

FC Risden will not be joining us as the amount of work in order to fulfil the criteria of "F" grade for membership was far to overwhelming with the final problem being the size of the pitch which was too small. We have wished them well for the future , so that leaves us with new three new journey's , to Mile End Stadium to play Beaumont Athletic, Mayesbrook Park to play Barking and Spotted Dog to play Clapton. Talks will now start about expanding the league on a geographical basis for season 2007/2008 with the F A .

I hope training will go well ... its not long now, though because of all the trauma of who would be with us and the fact that we have clubs ground-sharing, the fixtures, like a number of Step 5 leagues, will not be out until the end of July... and I am still looking forward to a week in the Highlands before seeing you all again !

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the League Chairman for all his help in trying to help us acheive our dream.

We were given a year to get our ground up 2 scratch so we had to find a ground to share and Aveley kindly offered to allow us to rent their ground for the year and I would like to thank them for the offer as well as Brentwood and St Margaretsbury as well as numerous clubs who emailed offering advice I thank you all. However the problem with the width of the pitch was to much of a hurdle to get over withing the one year timescale so talks had to end.

We now have to take stock and hopefully one day we can submit another application to the ESL once we have fulfilled all the requirments and we can take it that one step further next time.

I wish you all and the League all the very best for the coming season,I shall be wathching but from afar im afraid.

Good luck to you all and hopefully our paths will cross one day.

Lucky old LC. He's been patronised by Zody!

Sorry to hear that your dream has had to be put into temporary abeyance FC Risden. Hope you manage to sort things out groundwise so that we see you on the list of ESL clubs in the not too distant future.
