Gravesend v Stafford Rangers

Took in the second half of the match tonight just to see what we are missing.

 

Liked Gravesend going forward up against a light weight defence but the Reds defending was poor, though not in the Boreham Wood poor.

 

The reds did attack in numbers something i have not seen much of this year from us. Charlie Mc scored their only goal from a corner but it may have gone in anyway.

 

As i say some kamikazi defending gifted SR two goals and it should have been 5-1 really as they missed a sitter at the end.

 

New seats down the northfleet end looked nice and thats where their hard core and drummer was.

 

Pitch perfect but they only had 835, poor really on sucha warm night. About 25 SR fans who made no real noise despite winning so easily.

 

Score flattered them as i was impressed with Gravesends power up front.

 

Did like the way every SR player went over to their small contingent at the end. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

You chose the wrong game Geoff! As you say, thought we had enough chances and on any other day (at least any other day this season), the defence wouldn't have caved in and the forwards would have scored two or three! But probably our worst performance of the season so far.

 

Don't know what to do about crowds... up until last night, we'd matched everybody we'd played and done it with some style, but still the lazy public can't be arsed.
