essex county fa rep sides u'16s and u'18s

Recommended Posts

after reading the last" mauling" defeat by an essex county rep side(in this case the u'16s that lost 7-0 to cambridgeshire)and looking at the players picked for those rep sides,i'm scratching my head and thinking"what the hell the guys in charge are doing?since bernie blunt decided to give a rest to his county rep sides days, the people that have replaced him haven't got a clue where to find the best players for those age groups.it's always a "geopolitical"selection(don't get confused by the 5 burnham players, they all come from the dagenham area).Bernie used to go scouting for players everywhere from paglesham to canning town while i get the impression the muppetts that are in charge now, never stick their noses out of the london orbital area.bernie used to win trophies after trophies with those players scouted from "nowhere"while these guys get stuffed game after game with embarrassing defeats.sure essex has better u'16s and u'18s players to put on show or is just a closed circuit selection?meditate, meditate hey tyla, lucky we are that they don't know ya 7-0!over my dead body, daddy used to say..

i can see that "two bobs predictor" your u'16s side come from dagenham like the canvey u'18s from bermondsey.ours come from local football(not a franchisee)and we play them in the first team or at the worst in the u'18s.it's all about developping, none of your u'16s play in the first team we had four already you can see from the embarassing results how good is the team selection from those muppets...bring back bernie blunt or at least pay petrol allowances to the "selezionatori"so they can afford to scout in the real essex

Surely it's not too difficult.

They just need to contact all the managers throughout the Junior Eastern Alliance and ask for sensible recommendations.

Then ask one of next their opponent's managers to give an objective but brief report on how the particular player/s performed against them.

The draw up a short list of, say 24, players to watch or send a representative to watch themselves.

Then select their squad!

Or is that too sensible an idea?

bernie used to watch 2 if not 3 games himself and knew every good youngster from canning town to foulness island.i wonder if these guys do the same?we put names through but the fellas never bothered to check where these players were playing.they must have looked in the u'16s without reading that some of them were playing u'18s or first team football.it's always the same:players from the dagenham area, nothing more and that's because the fella comes from that area! how i loved beating the collier row, dagenham, county park, pegasus, etc, over the years!

coach... if you have a problem with it all, i would prefer you spoke to your good mate Del...

As you are certainlu unlikely to get any sort of answer from me...

I will just continue to enjoying playing my football, and come what may...

kaiser,i haven't got a problem with that and i speak to del on regular basis so i know what goes on.you tell me about playing youngsters and then you have 2 players(one is 42) upfront that certainly don't play for the love of it!there are amateurs teams and "amateurs teams" as you know
