Interesting article

But for people who a) couldn't get there or B) couldn't buy a programme or c) didn't buy a programme, it is a very good article.

So far, only programme buyers/readers will have seen it.

Now all our readers can.

We should be shouting this sort of thing from the rooftops, websites and via any other sort of media.

I was up at Fleet Leisure on Tuesday afternoon to a funtion in the hall. Chatting to one of the staff they revealed that there was disapointment that Fleet supporters were not inclined to enrol or visit the venue.

I, being selfish said that I would enrol come next July when it becomes non smoking venue (health reasons). I have used the bar area, but had to come out because of the smoke being so acrid. But there again that's my problem.

I went on to ask about the booking of the Function Hall. It would appear that day of the week bookings are heavily subscribed to.

I must say the hall smelling of fresh paint was resplendent in it's lavish Christmas decorations. A credit to the staff. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

What are the reasons for our punters not to support the leisure facility at Nelson Road?

Perhsaps if the Club advertised it, it might get more interest. Even the Northfleet on the net site has no mention of it!

It’s known as Nelson road, as the club is in nelson road and always has been. It is in the Perry street area, It can be accessed via coopers road then Milroy, or Coldharbour Road and Snelling avenue, and a number of other routes.

Map or sat nav will get you there lol
It Was Bowater’s club, then was bought out and became Beauwaters, now Fleet Leisure
Advertise it ? what like in a football programme?? or something similar ? to easy!.
To be fair there is a two inch advert for it in the football programme, I assume it must cost the club a fortune to advertise the clubs, own social club in its own programme??? Or surely they would have a whole page spread, advertising up and coming events ,club membership prices, Christmas functions, Rental prices, and also the social clubs details such as, address, phone number etc etc Speculate to accumulate and all that.
