October Player of the Month

Recommended Posts

I would like to congratulate Young Ronnie Worster on his well deserved October Player of the Month Award.

For an 18year old to come in and keep goal for 13 matches at this level is, imo outstanding. Ronnie is a terrific prospect for us, He, like Tom Poole, Rob Swain, and John Simmons all came through our youth set-up.

Well done Ronnie

Goalkeepers are always going to stand out. First because they wear a different shirt, and second cos they can (as people would say who have never studied this position) lose a game by making a mistake. I look at it that if a goalkeeper makes a mistake blame the outfield players cos the ball should never have got that far in the first place Ronnie, got a real baptism of fire when he had to step up and being only 18 it could have affected him. He probably was nervous at first deep down, but he has made a big impression on me and fellow fans. Sure, some mistakes made, but just by seeing his all round game you can tell he will easily cope with this level, who knows and higher as time goes by. So, yes a big award for the lad, and fully deserved. Those 3 big saves against Margate "won" us the game too?!
