Whats happening the dog man is back with some hot gossip on the above country bumpkin club..

 

Apparently an AFC Wimbledon ex player and legend is taking over on managerial side and they have a good side down there for this season....

 

First signing is an ex AFC Wimbledon legend who has been sent off whilst playing against them and now plys his trade in ryman premier.. serious stuff new contendors for the title.. oh and yes i have been asked already to go there but have decided I can't be flyign to cove every week from Heathrow for CCL footie

Then all the players and staff left and went to Fleet and then left Fleet and moved on to someone like Winchester City. Don't really think they were really playing for the club - more like money and the manager. You would have to be either completely stupid or on a wad of cash to be playing on that cow field. Having to play there once a year is bad enough. Can you imagine 30 games or so??!!

Sad fact of life JJ - better players get tempted away by the filthy lucre -average players disguise their mediocrity in the name of loyalty.

 

Fair call about the cowfield - though it didn't stop the 2000/1 team from winning! Liked your way of avoiding playing on it for most of the recent draw (concede that you did at least try when you got on though). Here's to there being only 2 places between our teams next season

i wish it was my choice not to have played that evening. Sulking as usual when stuck on the bench. Thankfully only a couple of times last season. And i always give it my all regardless of the opposition, the pitch, the weather and being benched. 100% and nothing less.

The phone has been quiet and no calls from higher league teams as yet. If only i had a left foot, a touch, some ball skill, and some height, i'd be a good player.

coopes knows I do a good job PB... sounds like he has a few going there.. I would have gone but for travelling... too far for my liking though... pity as all the lads down there would have been a good crack..

 

I was one of his first wannabe signings though PB so must be doing something right.. but all jokes aside after speaking to him if the players who have promised him come through then cove will be very decent this year..

Even if they do get good players down there, I can't see them staying long into the season. It is a lot easier to leave a club where the facilities are poor. If other clubs come in for the players then you will see them leave.
