do you get to watch many of the town's games ?? because there has been alot of change since the essex senior days

You summed it up perfectly geezer - the oppos are so much stronger and there's no shame in being mid-table. I've seen about 50% of your games and the 8-2 win. Didn't see many Enfield moaning that night. Funny that.

Who would moan about an 8-2 win??!! However, if you had read all posts it was very clear that Abbey were extremely under-stregth that night and played a number of youth and reserve players. Once we got our noses in front their heads dropped.

Its not all about one off wins. Since the second half of our one season in the Southern League tyhings on and off the pitch have been steadily deteriorating and this does need to be addressed. Yes, you say you would like to have Jim as your manager. Well, Jim has more than proved himself at step 5 level and would do an excellent job for Rovers. He has also done pretty well at step 4 level. What most fans are saying is that things have gone stale at Town and managment seem to have run out of ideas. It is very rare that a manager stays in one job for this long and continues to succeed. Fresh blood is needed as are new ideas, training techniques, tactics etc. Good luck to BRFC and if Jim ever does come to manage you he would do an excellent job and good luck to him. He will always be highly regardded by all at ETFC and I hope that he stays in some capacity with our club.

it is not a matter of getting behind anyone individual, we all want what is best for our club, and for a long time we have not been getting that, on and off the pitch.

No one has ever been critical of JC, what is being said is we need fresh ideas. The opposition know how to play against us, know how we take corners, free kicks etc, and know there is a lack of discipline, so we are not difficult to play against.

For the sake of the club it is time to move on.

not exactly democratic, as only 25% of the memebership have voted on here, and that is assuming some people have not voted twice.

is the cup half full or half empty?

the poll shows only 4% more voted for him to stay, not a ringing endorsement.

But the debate goes on, which is good for the democratic process and we all know the board love democracy
