Recommended Posts

Imagine how i feel. I came to this country with wads of cash, bought a house and 2 vehicles, work(when available) Volunteer Fireman and Ambulance driver, do work for the town(for nowt), then have Bush say he is going to give all the Illegal Immigrants from South American countries an amnesty and automatic Citizenship. I have been here 3 years and spent thousands of Dollars on Forms and filing fees and those [***!!***] are going to be given evrything for nothing........What time is the next British Airways flight to Thiefrow?????????

well I haven't even started on Bush yet...and our 'special relationship'...hhhmmmm...I can feel a new thread coming on.....

anyway....

you may or may not know of course that special visa restrictions are imminent for passage to the good old US of A from england....thats to keep the european filth out of the US by way of passage through the good old politically correct filter of great britain....

(that means england of course cos no one will want to go to wales... ireland or scotland will they...there's fck all there for 'em...)...

as you know....there's no room for european white trash in the 'states' is there....to many 'pancho villas' to accomodate for Bush's next attempt at clinging onto corruption...sorry...power....

Bush is an [****!!****]'ole....same as Blair....they couldn't be trusted with a fckin pet rabbit....

that bunch of redneck arms dealers in texas that funded this little republican dynasty won't be living next to 'em will they....no more than president blair will be living next to a few kosovans in fckin downing street........

and....

I fckin hate that closet lesbian bitch of a wife of Blairs.....

its a fckin disgrace to the western world and an insult to brave men and women who have fought and died for both great countries....

anyway.....

I wonder if there really is water on mars....

hhhhmmmm...that may well be the answer....

Back to the main subject, immigrants. Some of you have commented that you don't mind legal immigrants. I disagree! Until we have sorted out our health service, the education system, law and order, I would ban ALL immigration apart from certain professions where we are short of staff and from individuals whose lives are clearly at risk in their own countries as a result of persecution by governments.

Where did you get the stats from?? The Guardian or the Baghdad Broadcasting Corporation?

The same source which said Gravesend has not more then 100 Asylum Seekers??

Put it this way, I have visited the below places and found them rife with Asylum Seekers/Immigrants who have not brought peaches and cream to this country:

Gravesend

Medway

Hounslow

Stoke

London

MPs spending there time examining issues first hand?? Don't be naive mate. I could go on all day about the conduct of our "honest and hard working" MPs, but it wouldn't be as glowing as your view. No MP has more right or knowledge of issues to hand then the average man.

A Migrant will only bring Net worth to this country if they bring skills, be it Medical,Retail,Hospitality,Law etc etc and a work ethic. All well and good if its a filtered and systematic process, otherwise we get flooded and Industries and professions get over whelmed, the wages drop and with the high cost of living for the normal Tax Payer then we end up with British people being pushed out. For example labouring was a well paid profession for a hard manual job, yet foreman and Contractors are now bringing in Cheap Labour from all over the place

who are paid less then the honest tax paying Brits.

Its a worrying fact when a young Lad like yourself is being indoctrined with these "Facts" from your "excellent Geo Fact Sheets".

Listen here Junior, I went to a comprehensive, Grammar School then University and it was great. And the Teachers/Lecturers were excellent, but I was taught to make my own mind up with politics.

I'm not criticising or judging your Teacher and Education, just putting my opinion across from an older Bloke.

I can quote thousands of Migrants who bring qualities to this country, but when it comes to Illegal Immigrants and Asylum Seekers, then thats another story. Don't group such people together or "generalise" such an argument.

Good Luck with the Exams.

As much as i appreciate your opinion, and it is valid, i feel i've been brought up to make up my own mind by my parents(though many other's may not have been brought up this way)I'm currently in 6th form so it's not soooo young, but i suppose it's young none the less. We do look at both sides of the arguement at school, and we look at the economic consequences, demographic consequences, social consequences, cultural consequences etc.

But what your "pc" correct teachers wont tell you is that the influx of said undesirables is taking our once great nation steadily down the toilet!

Have you noticed how they all seem to end up in one particular area?..they congregate, the locals move further out(If they can sell their houses) and then they expand..Its already happening.

In the last few years, so many of my friends are selling up and moving abroad because they dont want to end up with their backs to the sea, which is what will happen eventually..I myself am considering moving abroad , and before you say..you are doing the same as them..one big difference..I am financially viable and able to support myself and family if I do go, as are my friends who left.

As far as I am concerned, this is no longer my country as it has been taken from me and given to all and sundry, and yes..I am bloody paying for it too..

I agree with your setiments, i feel there are to many asylum seekers, but i feel you do need some, and as for them ruining this "once great country.." i feel the add alot to this country. Admitedly many of the recent immigrants haven't exactly done alot for this country but these are the people who shouldn't be here.

Not sure if I have understood you right Fleet Boy. Are you saying 'asylum & immigration' is a topic which is covered in school lessons?

If so…when you say you look at 'both sides of the argument' exactly which sources are being used as investigation material? Are you allowed to submit your own material as evidence?

What if the following were to happen: a student were of the opinion, after analysing various sources of information, that the influx of asylum seekers and/or legal immigrants into a specific area had a negative impact upon the area and concluded that the movement of asylum seekers should be terminated immediately. Do you feel their efforts would be received as warmly and marked as fairly as say someone with an opinion that asylum can only be good for the town?

Yes asylum and immigration are covered in my A/S human geography lessons.

I'm sure you could use your own "material" however you would of course have to say this is just your expierence and that it would be unfair to say it is true of all immigrants. I think that if you decided that the movement of asylum seekers should be terminated you would be allowed to have this as your view and would be marked fairly, AS LONG AS,you explained it fully without resorting to racial stereotypes(I'm not implying you do).

The thing is though EMHdad is that it is confusing ain't it? I mean as Slovakia is part of the EU then it means that the Slovak gypsies who are reported to be on there way here in their thousands will be legal immigrants. Although I suspect they would not be able to support themselves without state funding. If that's the case then 'welcome' is not a word I would use in connection with their arrival.
