The Arsenal game was another example of a referee feeling guilty about a decision(the correct one) and trying to balance it out by disallowing the united goal. It was lucky really because he had no choice but to give that pen at the end. The challenge by Fabregas was a straight red too but the referee did not want to put Arsenal down to 10 men.

I think you mean 9 men. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Of course, the referee doesn't have the benefit of copious TV replays while he is still out there refereeing, so I don't see how he could have known straight away that he had definitely got the Bergkamp dismissal right or wrong. Besides, a referee who immediately has doubts about the decisions he has made probably isn't strong-minded enough to be a referee.

Yep Crespo was another Chelsea signed big name player that couldn't hack the pressure that Greaves, Osgood, Tambling, Zola, Dixon had laid down before them.

This isn't sour grapes I'm just answering questions with facts. We lost, but as Jose has said we now have the chance of winning three more fantastic competitions. Whoever wins in the Chelsea Barca game will win in europe, get past them and then get AC Milan. Bring em on no one scares us.

Beat Liverpool on sunday. Well the only thing that scares me about Sunday is parking the car in a city with thirty thousend scousers roaming the streets.

Win the next four league games which all against the four relegation teams beat Fulham, Charlton, Birmingham and The Arsenal at home and the treble could be ours.

So Jimmy in answer to the question that opened this thread. Take them to a professional printing shop get them to put a black line through Quadruple, not too much though make it so you can still see the word Quadruple it makes it ironic, and then write the word Treble.

And if you think about it if the Fleet win the Trophy thats a Quad for me. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Better that surely then getting walloped by some City-worker/Essex wide boy's fat wallet, or run over by Julian and Jemima's 4x4 as they go to watch the 'footer' and their Chelsea heroes that they started supporting after reading in The Telegraph that football was a 'bit cool'...

Not that I'm saying you're in either camp, Harry!

So if you beat these 4 they're going to give you the champions league fior free?

PS Barcelona are gonna dump you out.

Sing a song of Harry,
a pocket full of rye,
four and twenty black birds backed ina pie,
when the pie was opened harry began to sing,
wasn't that a great goal, created from the wing.

No not them, too inconsitant. And okay you don't need consistancy to win the trophy you only need to win 7 more games but they don't have enough in it for me.

YOU CAN QUOTE ME ON THIS. If we (Chelsea) get Juve in the Champs League and lose I will personally write to Jose Mourinho and ask why. I will then write to Peter Kenyon and ask for my money back, then I will insist he bring his "Stars" the Stonebridge Road for a friendly.

I WILL THEN DONATE £100 TO THE FLEET TRUST.

AND IF THEY WIN THE WHOLE COMPETITION I WILL DONATE £500 TO THE TRUST.

Why are you treating this like news? All Chelsea need to do to beat Liverpool is play better then them. Jose could put the ressies out then.
