With 2 months rain forecast for today will we get a game tonight!??

Have we ever had a pre-season friendly cancelled or postponed due to waterlogging?

Please do not say that even in jest, we must have football.

The forecast is lots of morning rain, bright afternoon and evening.

Our pitch is perfect and ready, bring on the scum.

Don`t think there`s any danger tonight`s game will be off, the rain is due to ease off as the day goes on and pitch seems to drains really well.

We've been hoping for some rain like this for a while. The pitch was very dry so this should make the surface perfect for the match tonight. Saying that, I hope it's dry for the match itself so that the attendance is not effected.

I'm not so optimistic. It's been like a monsoon in Basildon for the last 20 minutes or so and shows no signs of stopping. This weather really is quite ridiculous.

Sorry everyone!! Should have kept quiet and worried to myself about the game not being on! Looks like it contagious! As Ronin and Glen have said, they can see no doubt about the game so roll on tonight!

Has in Basildon as well. With the winds and the temperature at a reasonable level the pitch should dry quite quickly.
