football boots banned by education authorities in several counties due to fear of compensation claims by parents who's children are injured by studs....

so no problem then with broken ankles from trainers failing to hold an ankle....

anyone know where the light switch is please... giveup

Seems as though those countries would be smart enough to have schools and other teams have parents sign a waiver. That is what happens in the States, parents sign a waver saying if the kids get hurt they will take responsibility.

seeing as Thatcher's people encouraged the selling off nearly all of London's school playing fields...I dont see why school children in london and the South East need studs

Huh? Where was this report? Doesn't make sense (ok I didn't expect it to). Surely it's more dangerous i.e. more likely to attract legal action to insist that children play footie without the proper clothing including footwear???

We might not ever win the World Cup again but we should do well at ice skating!

Well, the Daily Mail did predict long before it happened that schools would ban the game of conkers unless goggles were worn !
