... and the need to increase home gates!

Now that the final ticket situation has been decided, shouldn't the club think of ways to maximise the potential for future sales?

Why not have an option to 'add-on' a ticket for a home game for a reduced amount,

Would imagine that with the technological wizardry of the new overlords + having the likes of DA11 on Board this could now happen. arrr

TORQUAY United have issued a 'Don't Panic' message to their supporters waiting for Wembley tickets to go on sale next week.

Gulls fans can buy tickets for the FA Carlsberg Trophy Final (May 10) from next Monday, March 31.

But chief executive Colin Lee stressed: "Although we're getting loads of ticket inquiries every day, there's no need for people to panic.

"The last thing we want is for supporters to end up queueing for hundreds of yards next Monday.

"We have 15,600 tickets available, and if we did sell those out, Wembley will simply open the next tier up and give us more tickets in that area."

Before next Monday United are trying to rush through a range of Wembley-linked memorabilia for supporters to buy with their tickets.

That's expected to include a replica Trophy Final playing strip.

We're certainly going to push memorabilia through the club shop.

I know what you are saying mate. However, for the club to move forward in its current guise it will need a lot more direct marketing to the local population. As Lord Horn said we now have the technology at our disposal to be proactive.

Well judging by the amount of people who want to come and see us at Wembley, I would say the whole of Kent, including Thanet. eek

Will they be able to get them produced and delivered to the ground in time to gain maximum sales from queuing ticket buyers?
