Yeah true, good point! but I what I meant is if you're young and healthy one pint of beer is hardly likely to kill you rather than one ectasy tablet.

Oh is this the way they say the future's meant to feel?

Or just 20,000 people standing in a field?

And I don't quite understand just what this feeling is.

But that's OK 'coz we're all sorted out for E's and Whizz...

Well that's her decision isn't it, I wouldn't agree with it but at the end of the day it is up to her.

It's just that I amongst others remember a time, long ago, when a song was written out by you upon this here forum, which you believed to be a fairly depressing song. Then Chubbarnold stated that she believed the song to be fairly uplifting, which you then agreed to.

Is ecstasy really that bad? Surely more people die every day from car accidents??

Let's ban all cars, lorries vans etc and make this country a safer place for all.

Imagine it... (drifts off into cloudy dream-like state)

no more car boot sales on Sundays - instead we'd have bike-pannier sales (everything 5p or less)

Sunday league pub teams would have to change not in a Ford Escort MkII but perhaps in a...large cardboard box found behind the nearby supermarket

traffic jams would only occur when someone's bike chain fell off down a narrow alleyway bypassing the busier cycle lanes

pollution would be drastically cut, unless you count the massive increase in bad breath fumes caused by a large percentage of the unfit population puffing and panting their way around

no long queues at the car wash in nice weather

white van man would be no more etc etc

Whadda you lot think?

Utopia achieved so quickly eh?

For the record, I've never done 'E' but my philosophy has always been 'never say never', although I always respect the decision of those who choose not to do illegal drugs. T

he thing with ecstacy- related deaths is that they tend to be blown up out of all proportion (GHA you'll know all about moral panics and the like). If you look at the facts it would probably show that more people die every year from road accidents then from taking drugs. Most of these road accidents would probably have been caused by the driver having too much to drink too!

I for one would never touch illegal drugs. There are other ways of enjoying yourself, alcohol the main one.

The amount of people who have died of ecstasy in this country is not that many just as the figure for children being abducted and murdered by adults in a year is very small but obviously these cases when they happen are always on the news because they are so rare.

At the end of the day, it is your life and it is up to you what you do with it.

I was talking about this to a mate at work who is quite experienced in this sort of thing, 'cos he's a dj. He gave me some advice about what to do if I do take an E. He said only do half 'cos it's less dangerous, don't mix with alcohol and don't drink too much water. It's better to go in with this sort of knowledge. There are ways of using drugs and there are ways of abusing drugs, that's the way I see it anyway.

I suppose it is useful to have this knowledge but the only surefire way of being safe is not to take it at all.

It just isn't worth it! It may be boring and I may be taking the moral high ground but I would just not take the risk!
