Maidstone United - "Bring The Stones Home petition

An opportunity to support a fellow county club's eforts to return home. See the note below:

Maidstone United supporters have recently launched a "Bring The Stones Home" fund-raising campaign to build a new stadium at the proposed site at James Whatman Way in the centre of Maidstone, the Club having played its matches outside the county town for over 20 years.

At the same time, Maidstone Borough Council are currently holding a competition to come up with ideas to redesign Maidstone High Street.

We believe there is potentially up to four million pounds available for this project and so we have prepared an open letter to the Council to ask them to consider using a portion of this money to bring The Stones home and build the ground at James Whatman Way.

Before we can send off the letter, we really need people to sign the petition.

Here is the online version:

The letter needs to go to the Council next week so swift action is required. We really want to see us get over a 1000 signatures as we are hopeful of good media coverage and so we really need as many names as possible.

Please could you help us by signing this on-line petition and get others you know to sign as well.

Many thanks, in anticipation, for your support.
