If we hadn't already had our pre season schedule confirmed it would have been our pleasure to play a friendly although im not sure a derby game is right for a pre season fixture, maybe a decent cup game during the coming season would be better..

Maybe we could send our ressies over?

Just to clarify we contacted John Batch and Gary Sutton

And asked if they would like to stage a Canvey Charity Cup friendly each pre season, And we would donate some of the proceeds to a local charity !

 

But they said no !

From what i understand it was indeed a no for this year as the club has other comitments to honour during pre season some already charity related.

 

Im sure moving forward its something that Canvey Island Football Club would be happy to look at subject to which Division the clubs are taking part in.

 

For me this should be a end of season event rather then a pre season fixture.

Nothing to do with not feeling confident more the fact that we have a busy schedule and have to honour already agreed comitments..

 

Seems like you have an issue becuase we have said no to this year, very sad..!

 

Like i say its something for the future.
