in the rumour that a Division 1 club has managed to ask the league to not play any home games (first or reserves) until the end of August. This to enable them more time to spend working on their pitch.

If thats the case Zols then why does the league not start a month later and give everyone the same chance. There are plenty of clubs who would like a little more time to work on their grounds.

nothey would not. Be interesting for the fixture secretary of the leagues opinion. The league accept teamswith no floodlights and Cricket on their pitches but I just think it i favoritismby the league to make this allowance for one club.
