Ground Hopper
Can we have a ground hopping forum please. I would also like a forum to post matches on / off in which maybe are not on your other pages. Hope you don't mind the request. Thank you. Eastside Urchin
cracking idea, may just give us non ground hoppers a bit more insight into groudndhopping,i know a few people that would join it
Ground Hopper
Thank you for the support. Hopefully Ian & the team will see this shortly. Guess he is busy! Not all football supporters understand ground hoppers. What people do not realise is that us people that like to ground hop tend to spend money in the club shop, bar, food stand etc. Probably more than the regular fan. We are the people that will write about the matches that we went to, and would encourage all supporters to do that - even if you are simply go to any away match as a supporter of your own club. You do not need to be a ground hopper to write about a match. Every fan sees a match differently, even if it is through rose-tinted specs sometimes. Ian_W
Guys, Thanks for the suggestion. I will look into the options here & see what I can do. I am sure together we can make Non League UK a cracking place for fans of non league football and a good advert for those people still thinking that being ripped off weekly by the big clubs is entertainment! Ground Hopper
That was quick! Thanks. Agree with the fact that people think it is okay to get ripped off by the big clubs.
Eastside Urchin
i am in enough trouble with my club for writing about our games, usually when we lose.I didn't even go to hornchurch last night but still managed to get in trouble with the chairman for questioning how we can go out of 4 cup competitions to lower league teams. Ground Hopper
If the chairman cannot take constructive criticism then he needs to get broader shoulders! At times people in blazers are their own worse enemies and do not like anyone speaking ill of their toy. Sadly this is one problem with non league football - at a higher level people are allowed to protest and complain, yet at non league level if a similar proportion of people say bad things then they become the enemy. Not all people wearing blazers are the same, but several are. A good example is the number of people who are not fussed about Crawley playing in the FA Cup this weekend, because of alleged actions of the chairman. With all the people that use FF we could also get some great photos of non league grounds, and if someone could explain to us ignoramuses how to put them onto the forum from a mobile phone or digital camera we will have a good deal more. Big J R
We have a band of ground-hoppers that usually visit Meadowbank once or twice a season. They are noisy, fun loving, very welcome and spend masses over the club bar. We look forward to their next visit to Dorking.
