Savagebee - It's strange isn't it as the fixture suddenly moved to tonight, I thought it was being played last night but even if, as you say, Cricklewood Wanderers are doing well in the Middlesex County League Premier Division I doubt they will be able to live with St Panteleimon the way they are playing.

A St Panteleimon v Rayners Lane Final then, Rayners Lane will now entertain PFC Victoria on Tuesday evening in their delayed Quarter Final tie to avoid the risk of another postponement:

Semi Final draw: (week commencing Mon 23 March)

Good luck to Rayners Lane tomorrow evening in their rescheduled Middlesex Premier Cup Quarter Final tie against PFC Victoria, they will have home advantage again in the Semi Final if they can overcome their Middlesex County League Premier Division opponents:

Rayners Lane shouldn't have any problems this evening but then we said that about Park View in the previous round:

A very comfortable 7-0 victory this evening for Rayners Lane who progress to the Semi Final of the Middlesex FA Premier Cup where they will host Pitshanger Dynamo. It was surprisingly only 1-0 at the break however, following the interval, Rayners Lane really wet to town with early goals on 47 and 49 minutes and never looked back from there, Rob Hastings seemed to have recovered from his exertions as replacement linesman on Saturday against FC Broxbourne Borough and netted four times in the second period and may well have added two or three more on the night:

It's such a crying shame that we were deprived of two interesting looking Semi Final ties between Rayners Lane and Pitshanger Dynamo and Bedfont & Feltham and St Panteleimon as well as the Final which last season was contested by Harefield United and Cockfosters Reserves at Uxbridge FC, Harefield United won 2-1 and here are over 500 photographs from that Final:

There is actually still hope of completing the Middlesex FA Premier Cup competition according to the Middlesex FA website, lets hope that is the case and the mouth watering Semi Finals between Rayners Lane and Pitshanger Dynamo and Bedfont & Feltham and St Panteleimon, and the Final, can still go ahead:

Work on scenario planning continues in our commitment to find ways to support you ahead of the new season, with it resuming when it is safe and possible to do so. We are currently looking at all possibilities around how we can ensure that we still complete a full County Cup Finals Programme, making contact with all ongoing County Cup participants to get their thoughts on how we can complete the programme. More information will follow as we see how this virus continues to develop and impact the footballing world:

A match report on the emphatic Quarter Final win from Rayners Lane's website, setting up a Semi Final with Pitshanger Dynamo at Tithe Farm Sports & Social Club, or so we thought at the time:

Rayners Lane FC have progressed to the Semi Finals of the Middlesex Premier Cup after six second half goals helped to secure a 7-0 victory.

Rayners Lane dominated the game from start to finish and scored after only five mins when Calvin Mosses took the game into his own hands by driving forward from midfield and applying the finish past the PFC Victoria goalkeeper.

The Lane could have had a couple more goals before the break but couldn’t quite find the net as the PFC keeper made a couple of brilliant saves to keep his side in the game.

The team from the Middlesex County Premier Division didn’t stay in the game for long though as only ten minutes into the second half they had conceded four more goals. The first goal came from Rob Hastings whose perfectly timed volley beat the keeper. Next up, with the first of a couple of wonderfully worked goals by the Lane, was Lewis Lavender who put the finishing touch to a beautiful team move.

Hastings then added the third of the four goals in ten minutes. He was in the right place at the right time to add the finishing touch after Salah Zaheer superbly took the ball around the keeper and at full stretch not only kept the ball from going out for a goal kick, but also put in a cross that Hastings simply couldn’t miss.

Hastings then managed to grab his hat-trick in the 65th minute with Rayners Lanes second well worked team goal. Some quick one touch passing found Hastings in the perfect position to grab Rayners Lane’s fifth goal of the game.

The Lane were not quite finished there though as they managed to grab two more goals in the remaining 30 minutes of the game. The first was scored by Jamie Mckay who kept his calm when played through to finish past the onrushing keeper. Finally Hastings managed to grab his fourth goal of the game three minutes from time to cap off an excellent night for The Lane as they cruise into the semi finals.

Next up for The Lane is the trip to Henlow on Saturday afternoon for their league encounter with Langford.
