I wonder if Lee Hawkes is capable of picking his players up off the floor after that terribly disappointing home defeat to Buckingham Athletic on Tuesday, do we know what went wrong:

Scott Reynolds will be as high as a kite going into the game with Enfield Borough after that win at Ampthill Town on Tuesday, he talks a lot of sense too:

PREMIER DIVISION

Leighton Town P North Greenford United (Leighton Town in FA Cup)

Was it not possible to bring the Edgware Town v North Greenford United league fixture forward from Saturday 6 February to tomorrow rather than have both Club's kicking their heels on a Saturday afternoon in early October, obviously there is an FA Cup tie at Silver Jubilee Park involving Hendon however I'm sure Edgware Town wouldn't have minded switching the game to Berkeley Fields if there is nothing else going on there tomorrow which I believe to be the case.

Karen - Thanks, I guess that is why you are the SSML fixture Secretary and I am a mere mortal. I see that you were able to pair Stotfold up with London Lions tomorrow at the Maccabi London Sports Ground however what about the religious holiday out of interest, were London Lions happy to play, also is Park View's New River Sport venue likely to be available for next Saturday's FA Vase tie with Cockfosters.

Old Bradwell United v Bovingdon

A brief Sports Shots interview with Old Bradwell United supremo David Keene ahead of the game tomorrow. Maybe we were all wrong to assume that Old Bradwell United were already Division Two Champions:

With all this rain Rayners Lane FC might cash in tomorrow with a bumper crowd if they are all allowed in to the ground of course ?

DIVISION ONE

Winslow United v New Salamis (at Elmfields Gate)

A Sports Shots preview on this one, the fixture was originally New Salamis's home game however it was reversed to Emfields Gate when Haringey Borough were drawn at home again in the FA Cup, their tenth consecutive home draw in the competition so I'm rather surprised Karen scheduled a home game for New Salamis knowing that it was FA Cup 2nd Qualifying Round day. The fixture at Coles Park between New Salamis and Winslow United will now be on Saturday 16 January:

Game at Wembley is now officially off.

Basher Bates is very protective over his bowling green of a pitch and who would dare argue with Basher ?

So you are all dressed up with nowhere to go this afternoon then, at least you hadn't already set out from home as has often been the case with a postponement

Having a day at home.

As I said yesterday, I didn't think there would be much of a chance for the game to be played.

At least Wembley were sensible enough to flag up the problem very early today and save everyone a wasted jurneyl.
