The chips are those crappy Asda Smartprice 68p (or something similar) for a 1.8kg bag so the markup is huge.

Hot dogs are a rip off for cheapo pork & beef bangers.

Of course, I shouldn't really comment as I presume that I'm still banned from last season..... I must thank them for preventing myself from being ripped off.....

Simple solution, no not their tea, if they are too expensive don't buy them. It's the best way of getting your message across, if everyone else who is of a like mind does the same, who knows it might bring the price down.

valid point mate but do u really think fans will go wthout a cuppa and burger i think not.

Saturday's weather meant some nice cold beverages escorted me into the ground (found a shop in town knocking out 4 500ml bottles of pepsi for 99p) - as for the burger - lovely take away when I got home.

Sod the burger van - I hope he goes bust.

Exactly, I never buy anything from there, you're only in the ground two hours and surely anyone can last that long without (so called) food?

Obviously gone downhill since then, the last time I bought anything was the first day of last season (Burton Alb) when it was a baking hot day and the only drinks they had were warm and 70p, surely a fridge isn't too much to expect?

Nowadays I get something to eat and drink on the way to the ground.

It's all down to time management....plan your afternoon !!

I have a couple of sausage rolls before I leave home at 12....then 6 or 7 pints of Strongbow and a packet of peanuts....that keeps me going until the Indian meal in the evening !!

Saturdays.....Beer ( or Cider !) and sport ! as it was in the begining, and shall be ( hopefully ) for evermore....amen.

Cheers,

I'm amazed nobody has mentioned the grub at Canvey.

I enjoyed the burger with onions and burger source and thought that it was very good value for £2.

Cup of tea looked a bit ropey despite the 'bargain' 50p price.

In comparison, our burger bar could learn a bit about value from the example led by Canvey.

I think the Essex girls at the Canvey burger bar were a bit confused with the Kent currency.I brought a burger, hot dog, tea, coffee and two cokes and after a lot of working out, they only charged me £4.20!Nice result!
