I think he'll be staying in the ryman league somewhere, or maybe a return to margate!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Given the team spirit that got the Fleet through last season, why would we want a money chaser back anyway?

Personally, I never really rated him anyway. Nice touches when you're cruising, but where was he when the backs were against the wall? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />

Ooo er Missus!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

Much as I hate to agree with you all, and I think you are right, in that he wouldn't get back into our side. He does (or did) have a dodgy knee that meant that Cheshams' offer was too good to refuse.

He did a good job for us when he was here and I don't think he really deserves too much criticism........ And anyway if I didn't back him up, my Daughter would kill me! <img border="0" title="" alt="[big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Andy Y's right. Spills might struggle to get back into our midfield, particularly following our two recent player purchases in the middle of the park.

However, as Andy said, Spills was always an important player for us. His skill mixed with aggression was one of our finest assets a couple of seasons ago, so no-one should knock him. In fact, in the last few years he is our longest serving player aside from Jacko.

I seem to remember one of Andy Ford's earliest postings gave a detailed report about the (A)spiller scenario . He wanted a new contract , the club knew he had a dodgey knee .

Which begs the question Dave , can you get Fordy onto our new board . One thing that I felt put us above other clubs was his weekly comment last season which contributed to the togetherness of the club .

Well I suppose I could put a gun to his head and inform him that in one minute either his registration or his brains will be on his monitor. <img src="http://www.longdog.org.uk/smilies4/uzi.gif" alt=" - " />

Seriously Andy will register, and when he has, there will be a new section for manager's reports.

Talk about giving it large. see what the BBC Conference Page has to say about the signing. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />

And no I don't know why Dover are being featured on the Conference Page <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />

Good luck to spillsy.

Although it would have been nice to have him back, I hope that he does well at Dover. But why, when he claims that he wants to play conference football, does he sign for a side that has just been relegated??? If he wanted to play conference footy he could have at least signed for a well decent side such as Gravesend and Northfleet.

N e way, why we talking about a player who is not concerned with us, so why should we be concerned with him? anyone got any answers?????????

It wasn't. He left the club, and now he's not good enough to get back in ahead of Jackson, Bentley, Strouts, McKimm, Owen, Smith and Lye. Whether he wants to play Conference football or not, in all likelihood Andy never even considered re-signing him.
