According to my Dad who has a colleague who's wife walks the dog for the cousin of somebody who plays cricket with one of the blokes who is building the extension at New Lodge, the new St Albans manager is set to be Jade from big brother. But it's all just unsubstantiated rumour of course...

Let's drag this one back to the realms of the original question....

We have a list of odds (source unknown), coupled with Zeal's mate, whose dad is on the St. Albans Board... both suggest that Justin has a) applied for the job and B) is apparently amongst the favourites.

We also have a number of Billericay posters, much better connected than somebody's son's friend, who are either laughing off the suggestion or calling a wind-up.

It's hard to see why Justin would want to leave a club that has invested heavily in terms of time, money and effort, both on and off the pitch to join a club mired in apathy. It would have been easy to pick Justin out of the crowd on Tuesday as there were only 120 at Clarence park to watch the latest defeat.

It may be that he feels the pressure of expectation at a club aiming for promotion, and would rather go to a club whose sole desire is to finish out of the relegation zone. I doubt it.

It may be he feels that his job could be under threat after an inconsistent start to the league season, and is looking to jump before he gets pushed. Again, I doubt it.

It could all be b*ll*x of the highest order and we'll turn up at Bognor to find we've signed Ben Walshe or Grays' Mitchell Cole!

Ya know Thornsey, what is it with you...If ya can't take it, don't dish it.

I can take it, that's why I dish it <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> what a very bizarre comment - could you elabrate

Thornsey, you come on here, make some comment and then elaborate it as a half arsed insult and then get all pissed off when we have a go back. It's a bit like when you lot turn up pissed at away games. Fom what I read (and have experienced), you insult people, think it's funny and then get all "they were out of order" when they give you a well deserved slap.

In no way are my comments MEANT to be taken seriously but you do.

Why don't you just leave your keyboard at home and get yerself a life.

Just spotted.

Hall And Oates? Didn't even realise they were still going. I have to hand it to you, Gazza, you know your music.

As for the Lennon acoustic album...

Haven't got it yet, but a true Lennon acoustic album should surely include original versions of tracks like Julia, Cry Baby Cry, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away alongside solo stuff like Working Class Hero, Look At Me and Oh My Love.

Made a similar comp a few years ago with these tracks on. Works well.

I agree with your Lennon comments but as he dismissed most of his Beatle output and any release would have to be sanctioned with Macca. So that won't happen.

Cheers for your comment. I will discuss music with anyone, 'cos like you, I love it!!! It's great for breaking down barriers.

Hall & Oates reformed last year and they have matured. They have become more acoustic (obviously with a band)...more "organic". The great thing about the new album is that they have covered some classic soul and Philly no's but stripped 'em down to suit their style. Even a Barry White song has been covered...My mate who is into all the "classic" soul doesn't like it but I think it's a brilliant album...I've played it quite a bit this week and it stands up to repeat plays...Hall & Oates...Brilliant...Two words that I'd never thought I use in the same sentance...

I'm quite surprised at how dead this board is after Hornchurch's demise considering there was no love lost between your two teams.
