Hullbridge Supersports FC 0 Enfield Town FC 3

Recommended Posts

Hall, Campbell, Baldwin, Gant, Hall, Negus, Nyman, Hall, Smith, Allen, Ndombe, Ridout, Snowden, Brotherton, Pamplin, Massala

Hullbridge started aggressively and had the best chances in the early stages giving the town defence a bit of work to contain them.

Towns first serious attempt at Goal came in a one on one situation between the new player Ndombe and the keeper where he chipped him beautifully 0 -1 after about 6 minutes.

On about 16 minutes Chopper fumbled in the box (according to Southport) and Hullbridge had probably their best chance of the half. On 28 minutes Ndombe flicked on to Smith who shot just over the bar. Graeme Hall hit a header just off target fro m a free kick. Soon after on 36 minutes The ball came in Smith flicked on and Dean Nyman thundered the ball into the net. 0 – 2. Negus crossed the ball close to the goal post and Nyman standing on the back post somehow managed to run the ball almost along the goal line and still not score (it was harder not to).

Second Half

On 50 minutes Ridout and Snowden came on for Campbell and Baldwin.

On 60 minutes Rudi Hall passed the ball to Matty Negus who hit a thunderer into the net from just outside the box. Matty went down after the shot and was soon substituted with Brad Brotherton. Further rockets came in from Johnny Ridout, David Allen and Lee Smith but the score remained at 0 – 3. Not a bad day at the office but I question whether Natty Negus is playing 100% fit at the moment?

Seal the Goalkeeper for Hullbridge was a great sport and pulled off some good saves before some excellent shots beat him.

We came for 3 points and we got them.

well it was a result that everyone expected. big thanks to the great folks at hullbridge, their bar ran dry today (ask HAPPY!)

their 'Keeper was a good sport, good sense of humour;but he didn't score either!

As for the match, good play in the midfield in the second half; but the quality of crossing we saw last week seemed to have gone.

why was David Allen in the middle of the park? he was so much better when running down the right wing.

anyway, 3 goals and 3 points, well done lads.
