Have some fond memories of the New World Inn...didn't use the Lodge much. I used to drink in the White Hart in the early 70s when it was a small disco behind the Wimpy bar. The only governor I used to know in the Bow was called Steve who had a weekend till. Moved to Tenerife last I knew!

Late 60s early 70s did most of my boozing in the east end with the odd trip over the river to a couple of pubs whose names escape me now. One was called the Wellington...saw a geezer topped outside there one night.

The Astric Lodge was one of my favourites in Stepney Green itself. Great pub, great music and seriously top totty...
