I'm going to see him on Valentines day- although not with anyone 'special'!

I always liked his 1989 song Veronica, but can't imagine he'll play that.

 

Never really got into him, like a lot of these late 70s groups. Squeeze being another one.

 

Is he still with the Attractions??

No, he's got a new band called The Imposters. I was a bit worried at first, I thought it might be some sort of tribute band, but I've been assured that it's the real deal!

 

Our tickets are only 5 rows from the front so at least I should be able to see something!

 

I was home over the weekend and went to see a band at the Horn. Anyone else down there on friday night?

His early stuff was good - Oliver's Army, Pump it up, Watching the Detectives etc.

 

Tailed off a bit in later years.

I think he's a spurs fan, 'I don't want to go to Chelsea' is definately a spurs fan's song..

His father was a big-band type, wasn't he? Elvis Costello's original name was McManus, I think. Does that help?

 

I saw Elvis Costello (supported by Talk Talk) in Toronto in 1982. Very good.
