Apologies for the odd looking Gravesend team. It is caused by their having squad numbers which has foxed our system. Their line up is: Wilkerson, Watson, Phimbow, Groombridge, Harris, Salaam, Saunders, Lovell, Martin, Moore, Sidibe. Subs are Darill, Spencer, Mott, Eather and Simpson.

 

 

it certianly confused me, that is the alleged lineup anyway.

Well that isn't even the bloody reserves its the schoolboys!

14:00 - Sam Vallance

Vallence's cross turned into a shot which Wilkerson in the Gravesend goal did well to save. He was wrong footed originally.

 

11:00 - Gravesend Corner

First Gravesend corner was badly over hit and came to nothing. I would love to tell you who took it, but the numbers on Gravesend shirts are impossible to read! Sorry!

 

9:00 - Even start

The game is warming up and both teams seem pretty even.

 

8:00 - Luke Moore

Luke Moore has Gravesend's first attempt on goal, but his shot from the angle fired wide. Gravesend are starting to find their wingers in promising positions.

 

6:00 - First effort of the game

Matt Carruthers for Dover has the first attack of the game. His long range lobs goes harmlessly over with Wilkerson in the Gravesend goal content to leave the effort well alone.

 

4:00 - Possession play

Each side is taking a good look at each other. Saunders is dominating the midfield battle at the minute, while Braithwaite is having good possession down the Dover left hand side.

 

1:30 - Poor clearance

Poor clearance by Dover defending Criag Cloke rebounded of Saunders but fell luckily into Paul Hydes arms in the Dover goal.

Dover seem to be playing a 442 system, a system matched by the visitors. A scrappy start so far by both teams.

Gravesend kick off and are attacking the River End.

A slight error on the Dover Teamsheet. Tom Hickman plays and wears the number 7 shirt, Stuart Manyard wheres number 16 instead of the second Tom Hickman!
