Don't get me wrong, the guys and girls behind the goal who do make the noise are excellent.I'd just love it if we could recreate the Maidenhead home league match which Markman scored late on to give us a 1-0 win where it seemed everyone behind the goal had joined in the chant. Even if we had ten to twenty more voices, it would make a lot of difference.

I just think there's a lot of people for whatever reason, (shy, embarassd, feel its beneath them) who come to support the rebels but don't bother singing. There's no excuse, the lyrics are up on the website and even if they weren't, they're not th most complex songs to pick up...

Bound to be quieter because as you say Gary we have lost one of the louder voices...

Given that there were only 260 people there as well we were pretty spread out which does not help from a noise making perspective.

I was there yesterday Michael, trying to rally the troops early doors. Was a bit on the warm side though so people were not really up for shouting, myself included.

Having just watched the Cup Final DVD, that should be the benchmark for the amount of noise we make for every game, though obviously it is difficult to re-create a cup final atmosphere

Must admit to missing my fix of footie on saturdays due to work so I expect it is quiet under the shed with out me shouting and encouraging the boys on, unless Reading Rebel and Cheapseats are making up for me.

Great to know 'BORG'was getting uptight and upset during the game won't be long before he is given the whole pitch to walk around in as his technical area ha ha great 3 points lads <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/argue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/arcadefreak.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/ban.gif" alt="" />

I don't post often, but I feel I have to say something here.

Just because some of us don't sing doesn't mean were shy, embarraced or it's beneath us, that's an unfair remark. Maybe because we just don't want to. This doesn't make us bad fans, we support our team in different ways. I just ike to have a shout and applaude.

wayne,

didn't mean to offend, its just that the boys on the pitch and eddie have often commented on how much of a boost it can be if the fans chant and sing together, mainly because the chants are louder than one person alone and therefore they can hear them. Any supporter of Slough is a good fan, and i certainly didnt mean to imply that those who don't sing are by any means bad.

This argument does appear every now and then and as long as people pay their money to get in, that's a good enough start. The more people which can join in with the singing/chanting though the better. Every voice helps. You don't have to start anything, just join in.
