ESSEX SENIOR CUP

They have a County Cup match on that day and cancelled our impending league game, so it would've been churlish of us not to invite our tennents to do the same. They of course excepted the invitation, being the nice chaps they are (cough, cough).

I dare say the 9 odd miles on a Tuesday night will prove too much for some of their supporters, so I would imagaine we'll be in the majority...again. Still a quality game for a Cup which usually has us playing some right old dog of a team at this stage.

Now I know such events affect the Chelmsfordians, but us Ricay are real supporters.

Does this mean you've found enough real supporters to reinstate your minibus to away games.

No need Matt, Billericay is an affluent area, we travel in our 4X4s and executive salloons.

Oh yes, the ultimate Toryland is Billericay....

Not exactly....coaches can cost a bit to hire... and we charged only a nominal rate for it's useage.....still, a good service whilst it lasted..

So I take it Kev, we expect a no show from the Chelmo supporters due to the fact that
a) 9 miles is too far to travel to support your team.
B) Would rather watch Champions league football than support your team

Overall, it looks as if the Chelmo support are all part time supporters. Oh well, The Blue Army will give your team a welcome to remember, make no mistake of that.

It's a long walk but if they start at 9 in the morning, they'll get to New Lodge by 6, with a pub stop or two. That's if they have enough money. I mean, quite a few of 'em don't pitch up now and one can only expect that the expense is too much for 'em. And lets face it, what else do they do during the day? Walking would be good excercise for 'em.

...er, no.

Holidays are not permitted during the season. And of course, we don't have access to the vast pool of mobile accomodation that some of our rivals have.

What, in an affluent area such as Billericay
(source: TC) and you can't afford just the one luxury mobile home of GP racing standard....not down to the few mill are we ??

We’ve all got swimming pools, Hot spa’s and gymnasiums at home Kev, no need to go away during the Foottie season. Mind you, whilst you lot are enjoying the Athletics, Billericay’s like a ghost town during July and August.
