Crowds

Well, there were 221 in attendance at our AWAY game at Hendon.(2nd highest home league attendance this year at their place). How many of our lot do you think there were in that figure?

I see at Southwood they managed to attract 210. WOW! Not very good for an attractive meeting with the Met.Police who were quietly fancied for the title early season, & who are a definate fancy for the play offs.

We need to pick up a few more faces on Boxing day. Could be interesting to see how many turn up at Hartsdown and how many turn up up Crabble.

We should try & let it be known about the game and tell anyone and everyone about it.Would be good to exceed the 1000 mark as I am sure Dover will, though how many of those 210 go from Ramsgate is anyones guess.

I know its not a competition but it is interesting to watch bearing in mind our form compared to Ramsgate's form.I would have thought they would be getting 500 plus each game. Seems Ramsgate people arent all that bothered to support their club no matter how well they are doing. This is a swipe at the people of Ramsgate & not at the club or its loyal fans that reguarly DO attend. All credit to those that DO turn up at Ramsgate & the same can be said for those that STILL turn up at Hartsdown, when you consider our form of late. The biggest credit goes to those of our fans who can reguarly get to away games.

With last weeks result maybe more will attend on Boxing day. Lets hope so. Coming along just to see Bertie playing would be an attraction in itself. We need to do the business against Invicta that day and hopefully have any surplus that day attend more reguarly again.

Have we got all the posters up? James,I see there is no poster in your newsagents shop window. Why's that? Did you not get your posters?

Margate v Folkestone Invicta

Dover v Ramsgate

I took James some posters in so not sure why Tony? Also took one to Martyns opposite. Dropped some of to David too who covers Broadstairs area, plus I have had a couple put up in Ramsgate too. James was also going to cover Margate Library & a shop top of Margate High Street.

Still with the crowds thing eh? Coz you got 11 more than us on Saturday?

We have the eighth highest average in our division but that includes clubs like Dover and Tonbridge and Kingstonian who we were unlikely to top.

Margate have done very well with their crowds I admit, you may like to see the latest using this link:

I do note Dover's crowds are still bigger than yours (despite the allegations on your board that the Premier division is vastly superior to division one as you found out when playing Cray and we found against Walton & Hersham) but then they are a bigger club by your definitions.

What a shame for you those aren't the actual league tables. For that you would need these ones:-

http://www.tonykempster.btinternet.co.uk/il1.htm

I prefer those and oddly think they are the important ones but I can see why bluenoses would prefer to gaze at the first ones instead. Have fun with them.

Margate are officially the 990th best team in England (in the top 1,000, well done) and Ramsgate 193rd. Just the 797 teams separating us then.

Very good Leeds clive. I suppose Ramsgate are superior to Millwall who are 1354 and all the other league clubs below you. How can you be serious when it is points on the board in every football league division. Get a life!!! (preferably away from Ramsgate)

Clive, you are starting to be a plum like FF. Who gives a flying toss where Ramsgate are compared to Margate in a so-called "official" best team league? FYI we are "above" Derby, Leicester and Coventry. Best teams are all about heritage. When Ramsgate have beaten 8 League Clubs in the FA Cup (that'll be one more than us), won the Kent Senior Cup another 7 times and have won League Championships above Kent League level more than twice then you can start ramming down our throats. Until then STFU and get on with your payroll clerk job in Leeds.

11 more than Ramsgate but we were AWAY from home at a poorly supported club so your point is invalid ( a bit like yourself ). Are you a schizo as some of your points are reasoned and well thought out and at other times they are complete b*llocks ( just like FF's ).

Registered Rams fans = LeedsClive & FF.

TWO FANS, YOU'VE ONLY GOT TWO FANS, YOU'VE ONLY GOT TWO FANS. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/icon_band222.gif" alt="" />

To the tune of "you're sh*t and you know you are" which actually is also very applicable.

Quite mild for JJ - think young Leeds Clive was put in his place.

It's very true about tradition. local club near to me , North Ferriby, are top of Unibond but crowds are 300 max. We are lucky to have the history so expertly recorded on Jeff's site. MFC is a club with a history to be proud of.
