getting back to the origonal post, i said recently and ill say it again, you cant have 17 plus players in a squad and only the same eleven start each week, with the others going stale on the bench, then expect them to come one now and then, and put in a good performance,it just dosnt happen, its vital there is a reserve team brought into play here.

i must say i enjoy reading cookies posts as he does say exactly what he thinks, and contributes to keeping a lively exchange of views

You have hit the nail on the head we cannot progress or even stand still if we do not have a reserve team. If we had had a reserve team from the beginning of the season (even if it was made up of young boys and old men) injured players would have got match fit a lot better.

Please please please put in the reserve team structure for next season NOW.

lets look further ahead than just providing a platform for established players to get fitness practice,i believe the reality is that there are plenty of young players out there who, with the right coaching could become players well capable at this level, the list of acadamy players released every year that would play for this club at reserve level in the hope of first team football,i think, would surprise everyone, making it seem they are only here for others benifit isnt the way to go about it,making them feel part of the club is the key to keeping players,i dont think it is all about money with the younger ones, its there desire to succeed

Well, Chris Kinnear described himself in the local paper the other week as the most successful manager in non-league football.

Good job you've got him then or God knows how many you would have lost by on Saturday!

Shame I wasn't able to take up the kind of offer of going to HP on Saturday - I would have enjoyed it I think!

Believe me Clive I think you probably would have enjoyed the game. Least of all because you support the "other" club. The scoreline didnt reflect the true events of the game, however it did show how naive we are at a beginning of a game & not for the first time might I add. For the rest of the game I think you would have been suitably surprised & impressed, for once,to see how well we did play. Its not easy coming from behind like that but the players then at least did give effort.Moreso than I have witnessed before this season anyhow.
