By car - take the A13 - stop off at Pitsea to check out the waxwing flock at Aldi car park - then carry on along the A13, and look for the signpost to Leigh on Sea station - this leads you to the coast road, and also to Two Tree Island (stop off for little egret, curlew, dunlin, teal and loads of other birds.

 

Follow the coast road - you take the right fork at the mini roundabout just past Leigh on Sea station, and then follow through and eventually turn right onto the promendade about a mile before Westcliff - stop off at Rossis for the ring billed gull and also an adult mediterranean gull in full summer plumage, and possibly sanderling and turnstone - carry on past the pier, past the Kursall, and stop off at the Old Gasworks pier for the purple sandpiper and possibly a flock of snow bunting.

 

Keep on going, and turn into LIFSTAN Road and the ground is on your left - turn left at the top of the ground and into the car park.

 

Take binoculars as there are also caspian gulls in the area. This in fact is why the roof is off the stand, so you can see them easier.
