Chelmsford "Soapbox" - Day One - Week One

Recommended Posts

It has come to my notice that there has been some issues about some of us surfing the Chelmsford Soapbox and last night a meeting was held and this became a point of discussion.

We at Billericay Town FC do not wish to damage the wonderful relationship that has been forged between both clubs over the years, so a decision was taken by the said group of supporters that only one of us will surf and look at the Chelmsford Soapbox, once a day, at 5pm.

In future, I suggest that we all guess as to what they are talking about and post your guesses as part of the designated thread on this forum.

I shall kick off by guessing that they are talking about their future and assured victory of the Ryman League season 2006 / 2007

I've noticed that too gazz, they have a right ole a moan up if we pass comment about something we have seen on there board.

So let me get this right, the collective "we" of Billericay will no longer hop across to chelmo, this will be done once a day by ??? (let us know who) who will report back with a summery of the chelmo day.

Thus causing minimum disruption and use of the chelmsford board. In other words, leave them in peace. Good work Gazz.

Yourv'e made me wan't to go and look now, but I'll stick with a nice assumption that they are reminiscing about when they were giving it large about our ploughed field, but with hindsight, and a few games on at MP, they are now making remarks like "I miss New lodge, we had some good times there, and their pitch is far better than our inner track"

JL is a good choice. Ian Blockhead would be my choice. He appears to be able to move in those circles without them taking too much offence...We are trying to not offend them.

Looks like you got the job Ian. Tread careful, and do not get caught up in the thread of excitement of a trip to Kingstonian tomorrow.

Thanks chaps, diplomacy is one of my strongest points although allegedly my sense of humour leaves at lot to be desired. I must confess I have already sneaked a look today and noticed they have been advertising our Bingo and Comedy nights which I thought was very comradely.

My guess for this afternoon's discussion is how many inflatable women they can smuggle into Kingsmeadow tomorrow without having to pay admission. I've no idea what they might want to use them for and would therefore like to throw this open for debate. I understand from a good source that they have given some of them names like "Claret Babe" (which is Sean's favourite)and will be decking them out in club colours.

I promise to reproduce faithfully and occasionally factually any interesting topics that are under discussion on the Ch*lmo soapbox. Any references to live persons will be wholly accidental and probably incidental.

Reporting for duty Sir. This is lifted straight (and I use that word unadvisedly) from the immoral morass that passes as the chelmo messageboard. And I quote:-

"So we are actually gonna buy these? This isn't a joke? cause i dont want to turn up and stand there alone with a huge banana

Slightly off topic here, but were these inflatable supporters borrowed from Braintree?

The way Chelmo's gates are dropping, we might have to lend 'em a few!

Good luck against Bromley tomorrow!
